Overseas Student Visa Requirements
For a successful study experience, it’s essential to maintain compliance with the conditions set during the granting of the visa. This helps avoid visa cancellations. Below are the key requirements for maintaining your student visa:
- Satisfy student visa conditions
- Be enrolled in a registered course
- Maintain at least 80% attendance in your course
- Achieve satisfactory results for course progress
- Comply with all requirements of EnglishWise Global
- Maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of your stay
- Notify EnglishWise Global in writing of any changes to your address, contact details, or emergency contact details within 7 days
- Continue to have sufficient financial resources to support your study and stay in Australia
Course completion: Achieve the required course requirements to receive a Certificate of Completion, including a minimum pass mark and 80% attendance
Working While Studying
- Work restrictions: Can work 40 hours per fortnight while studying full-time
- Work eligibility: You cannot work until your course has started
- Work during course breaks: You may work more than 40 hours per fortnight during recognised course breaks at EnglishWise Global
- You are permitted to work a maximum of 48 hours per fortnight (2 weeks) while studying full-time.
- Do not rely on work to fund your studies.
- If you are on a Visitor visa, you cannot work at all
