When Are The Refunds Available

Unfavourable and unexpected situations may arise at times. In such circumstances, we strive to offer as much assistance as possible, aligning with our policies. A full refund is available if:

  • Your visa application is refused (Documented evidence must be provided)
  • We have cancelled your enrolled course.
  • Political unrest, natural disasters, or other critical events prevent you from leaving your home country.
  • You cannot begin your course due to a severe illness, disability, or the unfortunate event of losing a loved one, including a parent, sibling, spouse, or child.
  • Your principal course application has been denied.

For other course withdrawal scenarios, refunds are processed based on the timing of your withdrawal request. Here is how you can calculate the same:

Note: Enrollment fee is non-refundable under any circumstances once the offer is accepted.

When Refunds Are Not Available

Certain circumstances prevent EnglishWise Global from issuing refunds. These include:

  • Cancellation of your enrollment after course commencement
  • Termination of your enrollment due to misconduct or non-compliance
  • Breaching visa conditions
  • Visa rejection by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA)

Refunds for Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

You will be eligible for a refund of your Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) in case of visa application denial. This will take place in line with your provider’s refund policy. To receive the refund, you must provide the Evidence of visa refusal.

Airport Transfer Refunds

If you’ve arranged an airport transfer through EnglishWise Global, the arrangement fee is refundable when the cancellation is made at least one week before the scheduled arrival date.

How to Request and Receive a Refund

To apply for a refund:

  • Gather all the supporting documents for your claim
  • Fill in and submit the Refund Request Form
  • Ensure your refund is approved
  • Receive refunds in Australian dollars within 20 working days from the submission date

Note: Tuition fees cannot be transferred to another institution or student.

Tuition Protection Assurance

In rare circumstances when we are not able to deliver your course in full, we ensure you receive a refund of the remaining tuition fees. We may also assist you with transferring your enrolment to another provider at no extra cost.

We value your time; therefore, ensure the process is completed as soon as possible, mostly within 14 days. In doing so, we strive to adhere to the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000.

Appeals Process

Should the internal appeal process not meet your satisfaction, you can escalate your concern to the Overseas Student Ombudsman via www.ombudsman.gov.au.
